Inspiration is like some sort of weird collision, where the idea is always sweeping across the landscape, through the neighborhood, or in and out the bedroom window. For that idea to hit you, you must be moving as well. If you’re standing still, the idea will whip right around you and keep going.
Man oh man this is probably one of the best wedding invites that I have ever seen! The attention to detail is insane. Beautiful all around. From design to printing, everything is top-notch. Austin Petito, aka Tight Slice has mad chops. Love everything in his portfolio. A must see no doubt. Check his dribbble too. Amazing stuff.
Lovely new site from Brent Couchman. Simple and clean. Lets his work do the talking. Such a great body of work.
Big fan of Brad Woodard’s work! Really love these Worktop Savers he did recently. More great work on his site. Really enjoyable portfolio.
Love Alvin Diec’s work. He is on point when it comes to branding. All of his work is actually on point, but especially loved this project. Take some time to look through his site. It’s definitely worth it. Really beautiful work.
Huge fan of Caleb Owen Everitt’s work. The guy always impresses me. Such an authentic Americana style. Makes hand drawn stuff look so damn good. The above work was done for Hufnagel Cycles. Beautiful work.
Really big fan of Richie Stewart’s lettering. The guy has a real knack for it. Always love seeing what he puts out next. He is also 1/2 of Commoner Inc. Check it out, but only if you want to see more awesome work.
Michael Smith has been putting out some amazing work lately. He really knows how to pick a beautiful color palette. Love his bold but simple line work and approach. Really fun stuff to look through. Be sure to check his site out as well.
Honored to have been a part of the awesome Everywhere Project. Check it out, some great stuff already. Many to come too. The best part is you can follow right along on tumblr. Here is my contribution and a bit about the project.
“I was lucky enough to have grown up on a dairy farm right on the stateline between Colorado and Nebraska, just under the panhandle. I could literally throw a stone from my front doorstep and have it land in Nebraska. Though I grew up on the Colorado side, Nebraska holds a very special place in my heart. My family had farm ground in Nebraska so many of my formative years were spent baling hay, setting water, and cutting corn with my dad.
The state slogan is on the Nebraska welcome sign as you cross the border. So naturally I decided to spotlight the saying in my luggage tag. I saw that sign everyday, so the saying is ingrained in my mind. Fun fact: the saying was developed in the 70’s by an ad agency in Omaha. It still stands today.
My wife is also from this great state, Lincoln to be exact. We got married in beautiful Nebraska City, home of Arbor Day for those that keep track of that kind of stuff. So its safe to say that I will always love this state!”
Really big fan of Doublenaut’s work! Andrew & Matt McCracken makeup the duo and man oh man, do they do a great job. Wonderful use of color and texture. Always look forward to seeing what they are up to. Follow ‘em on twitter and dribbble.
Christian Annyas has quite the blog. A must see actually. Get on over to it and start diggin’ around. Really great finds! You won’t be disappointed. The above sampling comes straight from it. Oh and he also curates this collection of movie title stills.
Just found this awesome student project that was able to utilize my font Ranger. Such a great project. Thanks to Danielle Hop for using it well.
The Official Manufacturing Company is one awesome group of creative cats. I have been a huge fan of their work for a while now. I was actually in Portland about a year ago and got to see a few of the above places with my very own eyes. Stellar work all around. I especially like their space design. These guys really know how to build a brand out. Follow ‘em on twitter and tumblr. Mad respect.
Pretty excited to be a part of this awesome project. I haven’t been disappointed by a single contribution yet, so I have to make sure I deliver something awesome! Be sure you check out the rad Everywhere Project, by Adrian Walsh. Be sure to follow them along on twitter and tumblr. So many talented contributors. Honored to be included in the list of amazing designer/illustrators.
Really enjoy Alex Perez’s work. Love his flat shapes and vintage color palettes. Alex is influenced by his friends & family, type specimens, and vintage ephemera. That last part is straight from his site, which you should check out. Really great work. Visit his dribbble page too. Lots of goodies on there.
